"The so-called “Reconstruction Peace” (İmar Barışı), which was enacted last year, caused a legal ground to many buildings that were not earthquake resistant and made it difficult to demolish the buildings that need to be demolished. We do not even want to think about how this law, which we have just started seeing the drawbacks of it the Izmir earthquake, will cause a tragedy in the long-expected great Istanbul earthquake."
