In many respect, the year of 2017 was a concerning year for the freedom movement. We have experienced a period in which populist political and social movements are on the rise and have come into power in some countries. These events remind us Friedman’s famous quotes: “Freedom is a rare and delicate plant. Our minds tell us, and history confirms, that the great threat to freedom is the concentration of power.”
